When the hell did Canadian chicken farmers start feeding their flocks steak and lobster?
Okay, I haven’t officially confirmed that, but they must be. After all, da boids here are selling for exorbitant prices. My wife and I just returned to Calgary from our winter cave in Casa Grande, AZ, and we have severe cases of sticker shock. See comparisons below:

ARIZONA PRICE. This is a current Fry’s ad. Often we are able to buy chicken breasts on sale for $.99/lb.

CALGARY PRICE. Here’s the jaw-dropping price we just paid at Sobeys. When you do the conversion to pounds and USD, it still amounts to $8.66/lb, which, depending on sale price, is approximately four-to-eight times more expensive. WTF?
